Odisha CPET Admission Form 2024, Check Prospectus, Eligibility Criteria and Apply Online

The Higher Education Department, Odisha, has released a notification inviting admissions to postgraduate courses in Odisha’s most renowned colleges and universities. The CPET is a compulsory entrance for all interested students who want to get admission in PG courses for the academic year 2024-25.

The online registration portal for this entrance test started on 18 May 2024, and the closing date for application registration is 27 May 2024 at 11:45 pm. The Students Academic Management System (SAMS) holds the entire admission process to PG courses. Students can register for this entrance test through the official website of the Higher Education Department, Odisha, pg.samsodisha.gov.in.

Age Limit

No age requirements exist for candidates appearing in the Odisha PG Common Entrance Test. All candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree or are pursuing their final year can apply for this entrance test.

Registration Fee

Candidates who want to appear in one or more entrance subjects must fill in their choices and pay the registration fee accordingly. Here are the subject-wise registration fees:

  • First or only Subject: ₹500/- (for General category Candidates); ₹300/- for SC/ST category candidates
  • For Every Additional Entrance Subject: ₹200/-

This fee will be accepted through net banking, ATMS cum Debit Card/Credit Card and other internet sources.

Note: Applicants belonging to the PWD category, transgenders, orphans, Children without biological parents & applicants staying at the Child Care Institutions are exempted from paying the CAF (Common Application Form) for Odisha CPET.

How to register for Odisha CPET 2024?

Students must have a valid email ID or mobile number to register for this entrance test, i.e. Odisha Common PG Entrance Test. By following the below-mentioned steps, students can apply for the “Odisha CPET 2024”:

  1. Visit the official portal at pg.samsodisha.gov.in.
  2. The registration is OTP based.
  3. Students must provide their names, mobile numbers, email IDs and date of birth.
  4. After providing the required details, click on the “Generate OTP”.
  5. A user ID or password will be created by the department.
  6. Now, log in by user ID or password.
  7. Select the courses and entrance subjects.
  8. Now, pay the registration fee.
  9. The registration will be done successfully.
  10. Take a printout of the registration form for further admission process.
