For choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, the late Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan was a “brilliant technician”, “true guru” and a “veteran”.

The famous choreographer, who shared the stage with Khan in the TV reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, was deeply saddened by Merchant’s death and mentioned how it was Khan who fell in love with the art of dance.

He wrote, “Writing this eulogy for you breaks my heart and I don’t know where to start … When I first saw you on the set of choli peaches, I was still a child studying. Was as enchanted !!! ” You made me fall in love with dance. “

He said how difficult it was for Khan to break the stereotype and create his own style. “Both your perseverance, hardship, struggle and struggle transcend the legacy you have left behind in life and profession. I am sharing a moment from our days on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where I only chewed her mind, wanting to know how it was working with Masters and Legends. She always told a unique story. I realized how difficult it was for you to break stereotypes and create your own style, ”wrote the businessman.

Vaibhavi Merchant believes that it was Saroj Khan who gave Bollywood choreography a new identity and that her body would be given work for generations to come.

“Your body’s work will be revered and cherished by generations to come, just as you ignited a spark in me when I saw a couple of teenagers with acid.” I was blown away by your work because a child was still growing up. Thank you for this remarkable journey where you gave a new wave to the film industry, giving choreography a new identity. Your work forced a category of best choreography, which was introduced to a couple teenagers and peers, the rest being history. Thank you Saroj
