Singer Jasleen Royal and internet sensation Yash Raj Muhate teamed up for a short acapella cover of the “Rangeela” title track and the superb sounding singing has been conveyed by not only fans, but celebrities as well. Jasleen, best known for songs like “Deen Shagna Da” and “Khoye Ghi Hum Kahan”, posted a video of the cover version on Instagram on Monday.
“Here is something fun that I recorded with @yashrajmukhate. Enjoyed doing this and hope you like it! Music that is not old yet, ”Jasleen wrote while captioning the video.
Celebrities like Manvi Gagru, Prajakta Koli and Suhail Nayyar praised the singer in the comment section. “Love it so much. OMG, “Youtuber-actor Prajakta wrote, while Four More Shots Please star Manvi wrote,” FAB. “
While the original track, composed by AR Rahman and sung by Asha Bhosle, is more upbeat and energetic, Jasleen and Yash Raj’s version has a casual, lazy vibe. This is not the first time that Yash Raj Muhte has recorded an acapella track with a Bollywood playback singer.
In January, the composer collaborated with acclaimed singer Rekha Bhardwaj for the cover of “Insaaf Hog” from Meghna Gulzar’s Talwar (2015). The cover version was dedicated to farmers protesting against three agricultural laws in the country. Yash Raj Muhate gained fame last year from “Rasoode Mein Kaun Tha”, a dialogue mashup of some scenes from the popular daily soap, Saath Nibhana Saathiya. His other works including Biggin Shoot, Sadda Kutta Tommy and Pavari Ho Rahi Hai have also been smash hits.
