Weber acquires June Smart Oven startup

The June Oven adds more cooking modes and fresh smarts for 2021

Weber is acquiring June, a smart oven startup company, the company announced in a press release. Weber and June participated in it Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub, A $ 129 device that connects to your phone and guides you through your grilling.

Weber’s move for the June acquisition is not the company’s first such deal. Company also acquired iGrill Back in 2016, and integrated that technology into its temperature-sensing grill technology, still on the market today.

The third-gen June oven is now shipping to customers who have already been in operation last year.


June, launched in 2013, is known for its name Smart countertop oven. The acquisition comes in June, as it is phasing out third-generation smart countertop ovens, with advanced software for multiple cooking modes and improved food recognition technology.

Weber partnered with its Smart Cooking Features in June SmokeFire Line Wood pellet grill.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but Weber representatives told CNET that Weber had acquired June for 100%, “including its proprietary software, technology, intellectual property and June oven line of products and accessories . ”

June will continue to operate as its own brand under the umbrella of Weber-Stephen Products and we may see new Weber Connect products until June earlier this year.
