Renowned Indian actor Vijay officially entered Tamil Nadu politics after launching the Tamilaga Vetri Kazham (TVK) party.

In 2018, a multi-talented actor entered politics by forming a political party called Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM).


J Jayalalithaa gained immense success as a politician. She joined the party under the guidance of actor MG Ramachandran after quitting acting.


In 2008, Chiranjeevi, the megastar, made his debut in the political world by launching the Praja Rajyam party in Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan Kalyan

Power Star Pawan Kalyan, who joined politics in 2008 is among the biggest politicians of the region. He has formed his political party Jana Sena party.  


Late actor Vijayakanth was a big name in Tamil Nadu politics. He founded the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazgam party in the year 2005 and served as the leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly from the year 2011 to 2016.


Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao aka NTR, was a renowned Indian actor and served as Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh for seven years.
