Walmart Accidentally Leaks Google Nest Audio Speaker
There has been a lot of speculation by Google on upcoming September 30th about what devices the company will be showing, but one device Google is expected to offer is a new Nest audio speaker. Thanks to Walmart, you won’t have to wait until you find out about it.
Walmart spruced up the gun and placed the new Nest Audio speakers on the shelves ahead of time, confirming the product’s nomenclature via packaging. The German website Winfuwn dug around the smart speaker in leaks and presented it in both white and charcoal colors, showing that the Nest audio speaker followed the standard color scheme used by Google.
Walmart leaks did not show the official price, but a tweet from Roland Quandt of Winfitch found a listing on NICE.com with a $ 100 price tag for Nest Audio speakers, although that price has now been removed from the list. However, it does include a brief (and incomplete) description:
“Meet listening to music from Nest Audio the way it should sound, crisp? With vocals and powerful bass that fills the room. Just say, “Hey Google”. Play your favorite songs from the streaming services you use? Get help (1). ?? And create a home audio system with your other Nest speakers, viz. Listen to stereo sound or around the house (2). Or say, “Hey Google, transfer my music to the bedroom speaker,” and this? And it sounds as amazing as it sounds.? Est audio requires Wi-Fi, nearby power outlets, a Google account, and a compatible mobile device. Minimum OS requirements are available at g.co/home/req.??(1. Music subscription may be required.? (2) Compatible smart devices are required.“
The listing states that the Nest Audio speaker is made from recycled materials and can be “easily used to build a home audio system.” From what has unfolded so far, it appears that Nest Audio Speaker is an upgrade to the existing Google Home Smart Speaker line, which is in dire need, under the new “Nest” naming scheme.
More details will be revealed at the official Google event on 30 September, but it seems that most of the important details have already been shown.
