Vivek Agnihotri appointed ICCR governing council member

Sources said on Tuesday that filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has been appointed to the Governing Council of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
Many took to Twitter to congratulate Agnihotri for his new assignment and he thanked him.
Agnihotri is also a member of the Central Board of Film Certification.
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) was established in 1950 by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India.
Its objectives are to actively participate in the formulation and implementation of policies and programs related to India’s external cultural relations.
