Actor Vera Farmiga will play the lead role in the upcoming horror feature Bad Bloom.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Farmia, known for starring in The Conjuring Series and The Orphans, will also produce the project.
Bryce McGuire, who previously directed the short films Night Swim and The White Room, will make his feature directorial debut with the film.
The story is about a family living in isolation on a remote island to keep an unknown creature at bay.
The official script reads, “The truth of the tighter security of children begins to be revealed when one of the demons realizes that they feared that he was not a demon.”
John Rubinstein and Galt Niederhofer will produce Bad Bloom under the Authentic Management banner alongside René Hawk of Rument Films.
Farmega will outlast many saints from The Sopranos’ next star, The Newark. The actor recently joined the cast of the Marvel Studios / Disney Plus series Hawkeye, co-starring Jeremy Renner and Hailey Stephenfield.
