Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey called up Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY) today to tweet again during a congressional hearing on dissolution and extremism. The Tech Executive’s tweet expressed frustration over the format of the hearing, which once again prompted a simple “yes” or “no” answer – or otherwise – to force the Tech CEO to answer complex questions. Disconnected from. Cryptocurrency, Dorsey this afternoon Tweeted A Twitter poll with just one question: “?” There were only two answers to choose from: either “yes” or “no”.
His post – or social commentary, if you will – went unnoticed.
Before Rice moved to his line of questioning, which focused on ‘the ability to radicalize American veterans and members of the military service’, he asked the Twitter CEO about his tweet.
“Mr. C. Dorsey, what’s winning – yes or no – on your Twitter account … pol?”, Asked Rice, who’s colorful wallpaper covered with flowers, butterflies, bugs and maybe snakes (??) Seated in front of, we agreed with the day’s superior web conferencing background – perhaps even Dorsey’s decision to zoom out of her kitchen with a cleverly placed blockchain clock behind her. (Of course it is a blockchain clock. Of course.)
“Yes,” Dorsey simply replied, in the same monotone he used throughout, which goes to give the impression of someone not yet working on another congressional dog and pony show.
“Hmmmm,” the rice stared.
“Your multitasking skills are enough Impressive, “he snapped, in a tone that didn’t indicate he was really impressed.
If you’re thinking the “yes” was winning then and continues to win so far, with 65.7% of the 65,626 total votes cast so far, compared with only 34.3% who voted “no,” as of writing. as time.
Perhaps there is some optimism left after social media?
