Tollywood star Nani on Tuesday released the teaser of her much awaited film Tuck Jagdish. The hero feels that he has got a ‘tuck’ for his habit of tucking into his shirt. Composer S Thaman has created a catchy folk number with action-packed teasers.

The song narrates the plot of the film. It talks about the hero and his loving family, and how happy they are living in their ancestral village. And yes, we are also familiar with the antagonist played by Daniel Balaji. So we get a glimpse of a play in which the hero curses the bad guys while keeping his swag and keeps his shirt inside.

Industry buzz is that Tuck Jagdish is apparently inspired by Mani Ratnam’s 1988 action film Gharana, which revolved around a sibling rivalry. Thaman’s song in the teaser reminds us of another folk number Sitaramala Sirapadu, which he composed for Allu Arjuna’s Ala Vaikunthapremulu. In that film too, the song comes with an action piece as Allu Arjun’s character stylishly takes people to the enemy camp in slow motion.

A teaser of Tuck Jagdish was released to mark Nani’s upcoming birthday. On Wednesday, the star turns 37 years old. “Some films are released during festivals, some films are like festivals themselves,” Nani tweeted, sharing the teaser.

Tuck Jagdish also stars Ritu Verma of Pelli Choyapulu fame and Aishwarya Rajesh. The director of this project is Shiva Nirvana’s second collaboration with Nani in 2017 after his directorial debut Ninnu Kori.

Tuck Jagdish was first slated for release on 16 April. However, the date was deferred to avoid a box office clash with director Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story, starring Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya, which was releasing on the same day. Nani’s village-based action thriller will open in theaters on April 23.
