The pirates were real outlaws, bandits who sought only to plunder ships and carry out abominations both on land and at sea. Once again, we can thank the cinema for having returned them, for some , sexy and attractive. Because yes, staying more than 3 months on a ship without running water at a time when shampoo and toothpaste were as rare as meeting Blackbeard clearly does not make them as handsome as Jack Sparrow. Pirates still deserve respect, both for the ingenuity they could show and for the legends who participated in many stories that made us dream when we were little. Now is the time to honor them. And as a great French artist/influencer/philosopher said: “piracy is never over”. And I am of that opinion.
