Thomas Jefferson Byrd Murder Suspect Arrested
Atlanta law enforcement has a suspect in custody for killing the actor Thomas Jefferson Bird. On October 3, at approximately 1:45 a.m. in Atlanta, a frequent Spike Lee associate was found dead. The veteran actor was shot several times in his body located near his home. Lee was the first to report this news on social media, saying, “I am sad to announce the tragic murder of our beloved brother Thomas Jefferson Bayard last night in Atlanta, Georgia. Tom Is My Guy.” Lee then celebrated a few films that they did together over the years.
Earlier this week, detectives from the Housewives of Atlanta obtained an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Antonio Demetris Rhines, charged with a felony murder. He obtained a warrant based on “evidence and tips from the public”, and was arrested early Friday morning. A $ 10,000 reward was posted to obtain any information about the assassination of Thomas Jefferson Bird, which appears to be effective. Rhynes is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail.
Shortly after the assassination of Thomas Jefferson Bird, Craig Wykoff, a friend and former representative of the 70-year-old actor, revealed some more information about the incident.
