Footage and photos taken from the set of Batman The superhero in Chicago suggests a modern-day setting for the film, though some DC fans worry that dating the story in this way is a mistake. While Robert Pattinson is currently working on the film in London, exterior scenes are being filmed in Illinois with the Windy City substituted for the GoT City. From the set, ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis posted a picture with video footage of a Gotham City taxi cab, and a look at the decal on the vehicle shows that the film is set for 2019.
Setting a film in recent times may be an attempt to land Matt Reeves on the ground Batman In fact, perhaps more so than Christopher Nolan Dark night Film trilogy. We have seen some of the photos from the teaser trailer and the set, as the new Batsuit and even the Batmobile are quite realistic depictions of how the character might appear at the present time. It could be that Reeves is presenting a story about how someone likes Batman Will exist with today’s modern technology.
One concern that some fans have is that Batman films are usually presented as “timeless”. Outside characters and Bruce Wayne’s highly advanced technology have kept the fictional world of Batman far away from us, and placing the Dark Knight in a real-world 2019 setting may have the opposite effect. Adam West’s Classic Batman The series may scream in the 60s, but theatrical Batman films usually don’t feel specific to any one particular time period from real life.
Of course, all this is speculation at the moment, as it is unknown if the taxi cab decal will also be shown in the film’s final cut. It may be just a set designer to randomly throw the cabine a year to pass the cab so that the cab passes. It is always possible that no year will actually be named in the film. The teaser trailer gives us only a small glimpse of what is to come as well, so we can see other clues about the film’s setting coming soon as production on the project continues.
With Pattinson in the lead role, Batman Acting Paul Dano as the Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as the Catwoman, Coleen Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, Andy Serkis as Alfred Penworth, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon. Matt Reeves directs using a screenplay, written by Reeves and Peter Craig. The details of the full plot have not been revealed, but the film will follow a young Batman at the beginning of his crime fighting career. It will be set in a standalone universe, with no connection to any of the other films already released Dc comics And Warner Bros.
Batman Scheduled to release in theaters on March 4, 2022. By then 2019 will be three years old in the past, so it will be interesting to see if the film is finally with a setting for that year. Taxi cab photos from the set come to us Brandon Davis on Twitter.
