A new trailer introduces viewers to Netflix’s next major series, Sweet Tooth, a tale of human / animal hybrids and their attempt to survive in the world by a mysterious plague. Marvel star and Iron man Robert Downey Jr. himself has set the show to executive produce alongside Susan Downey, Jim Mickle, Beth Schwartz, Amanda Burrell and Linda Moran.
The official Synopsis for the Netflix series reads, “Ten years ago ‘The Great Crumble’ wreaked havoc on the world and led to the mysterious emergence of hybrids – babies born part human, part animal. Unsafe hybrids are the cause or result. The virus is feared and preyed upon by many humans. After a decade of living safely in their secluded forest home, a sheltered hybrid deer-boy named Gus (Christian Convery) unexpectedly calls a geeper (Nono Enozi) Befriends the wandering bachelor. An extraordinary thrill about what is left of America in search of answers — the origins of Gus, the past of Zapperd and the true meaning of home. The wilderness is more complex than he ever thought Was. “
Based on DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint comic book series of the same name by Jeff Lemire, which originally ran for 40 issues from 2009–2013 and was dubbed “Mad Max Meat Bambi” at the time, the range of the series was definite Seemingly worthy is extensive source material, which is massively epic, although it is sadly lost its inherent inherent lack in jumping from ink to live action.
