Steam Summer Sale: 9 discounted PC games to buy now
After weeks of rumors, Steam’s Summer Sale is officially live. There are hundreds of discounted degrees and an unusually high percentage of them are worth your time. This includes some games from two or three years ago that you may remember, but also some AAA games from the last six months.
Sift through the sale and you will definitely find something you hold meaning to play. But if you haven’t got time to do it, here are some of the notable games for us, which are now missed. The summer sale will run till 9 July.
ID Software / Bethesda
Doom Eternal was released just a few months ago, in March, making this 50% discount even sweeter. Eternal is the sequel to the 2016 Doom reboot, in which the series has arguably become more spectacular than before. Eternal has some decent platforming, but it’s mostly about eliminating monsters. You can get relief from this stress for half price till 9 July.
Here is another freshman AAA game on the list. Half-Life: Elax is a VR game that takes place between the first and second half-life titles. Not only is this the best reason to own VR hardware, but it is a great game in itself.
Outer Wilds is an adventure / puzzle game that is about discovery. You are on a distant planet, the Sun 22 minutes before the supernova and destroys anything. Luckily, you are stuck in a time-limit. In the Outer Wilds, you’ll slowly figure out how to save the world – 22 minutes at a time. It sounds strange, but it was one of the most acclaimed games of 2019.
Therefore, The Last of Us Part 2 is out and it is incredible. But what if you’re after a scary experience and don’t have a PlayStation 4? No, Resident Evil 2, a terrific remake of the 1998 PlayStation 1 game, is 50% off as of July 9th.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a rare type of game. It is based on the immensely popular franchise, yet it is also … really good. You really have to take the game in strong license while you can. One of the biggest blockbusters in late 2019, it is $ 30 as of July 9th.

If you’re after more indie fairs, Celeste is famously tough – and stirring. It was released in 2018, so you’ve probably heard a lot about it already. If this 2D platformer is on your to play list, now is the time to shut it down. Celeste has 50% off until July 9.
Another great indie game, Hallo Night is a Metrodvania style game that will take you around 25 hours to defeat. It is challenging, looks great and you can get it for less than 10 rupees.
Borderlands 3 is the fourth main game in the main franchise (such a misleading title) and one of the most talked about releases of 2019. It is a colorful, stylish first-person shooter with a hyung array of weapons with which to explode space enemies. It is also $ 30 as of July 9.
