Star Wars voice actor Tom Kane suffers stroke, loses ability to ‘efficiently communicate’

Voice actor Tom Kane, best known for his work on shows such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Archer, suffered a stroke in October that left him largely unable to speak.

“He had a leftward stroke that gave him right-sided weakness and damage to the speech center of his brain. This means that right now he cannot communicate verbally, nor read or perform magic. He is still capable and very self-effacing, but can only get a few words out, “the post read.

Tom Kane, also known for his work in Cartoon Network’s The Powerpuff Girls and Call of Duty video games, is now receiving speech, occupational and physical therapy in Cannes City in an effort to regain those abilities .

“My father is still in good spirits and his immense stubbornness has already helped him to improve his speech. He is completely on board with sharing me and he will see anything you guys post. A lot of love from your family, ”Sam concluded.
