SP Balasubrahmanyam is extremely critical: Hospital

Singer-actor SP Balasubramanian’s condition has ‘worsened’, and he is placed on ‘maximum life support’, read a statement released by MGM Healthcare, Chennai on Thursday.
The hospital statement said that the SPB’s condition was ‘very critical’.
“Thiru SP Balasubramanian, who was admitted to MGM Healthcare on 5 August, remains on ECMO and other life support measures. Their condition has worsened over the past 24 hours, leading to maximum life support and is extremely serious. The team of experts at MGM Healthcare is closely monitoring their health status, ”read full details.
SP Balasubramanian’s son SP Charan recently said that SPB is ‘making steady progress towards getting better’. Charan had also mentioned that his father wished to leave the hospital as soon as possible.
SP Balasubramanian was found to be COVID positive in the first week of August. Later his condition deteriorated and he was transferred to the intensive care unit of MGM Healthcare.
