Sonu Sood calls out China for blocking oxygen consignments to India as lives are being lost, Chinese Ambassador assures ‘smooth functioning’

Chinese Ambassador to India Surya Weedong has assured actor Sonu Sood “smooth running of the export channel of content in India”. Weidong’s reply came after Sonu Sood called on China to stop the consignment of oxygen concentrations being sent to India.

Both Sonu and Weidong interacted on a series of tweets. Sonu took to Twitter on May 1 and wrote, “We are trying to get hundreds of oxygen concentrations in India. It is sad to say that China has stopped many of our consignments and here in India we are losing every minute. I request @China_Amb_India @MFA_China to help us clean our consignments so that we can save lives. “

In his response, Weidong wrote to Sonu, “@SonuSood Noted your twitter info. Mr. Sood. China will try its best to support India fighting Kovid-19. According to my information, the air routes from China to India are running normally. There have been 61 cargo flights from China to India in the last two weeks. We have facilitated customs clearance and transportation to India for medical supplies from cities in China. Will continue to ensure smooth operation of the export channel of materials to India. Pls tell us any problem (or email to you).

Sonu later thanked the Chinese authorities for their quick response. “Thank you sir for the quick response.” I am in contact with your office to resolve the problems. Appreciate your concern. Heartiest congratulations, ”he tweeted.

Sonu Sood has been at the forefront of helping people arrange hospital beds or oxygen as cases of the Kovid-19 surge across India. Bollywood stars have also been doing a lot since the spread of the coronovirus epidemic last year, helping thousands of migrant workers reach their hometowns when the lockdown comes into force in 2020.
