The network said on Sunday that two out of four stars of the popular HBO series Sex and the City would reunite after a decade with the same character for the upcoming new show.
According to the network, the new ten episodes, a half-hour series, became famous on HBO Max and star Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The show will be titled and Just Like That and will begin production in late spring, HBO said.
“I’ve grown up with these new characters, and can’t wait to see how their story has evolved into this new chapter, with honesty, poignancy, humor, and the defining city that always defines them,” Sarah Aubrey, the original head of content of HBO Max, said in a statement announcing the new series.
The network did not say whether Kim Catterall, who played Samantha Jones on Sex and the City, was not cast in the new production
