Sanya Malhotra and Vikrant Massey announced on Tuesday that they have started shooting for the Love Hostel directed by National Award winner Shankar Raman. Love Hostel, starring Bobby Deol, is a story set against rural parts of North India and traces the volatile journey of a feisty young couple who are ruthlessly hunted. According to the makers, “Star-crossed lovers take over the whole world and then end up with something else.”
The film is being produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films. Vikrant and Sanaya announced the start of the shoot on Instagram with pictures of bound copies of the script, whose names are printed on the cover. “And we start,” wrote Vikrant Massey with the photo.
The Love Hostel was announced last October. At the time, Shankar Raman, who has already directed the acclaimed Gurgaon (2017), said that Love Hostel would answer the questions of “heart and mind”.

“I have always been interested in questions of heart and mind. And I would say that no matter the question, violence is not the answer. I am happy to have Vikrant and Sanya and the perfect partner in the fabulous Bobby Deol. Love Hostel as a film not only questions what our society has become, but also what path we take to solve our problems, ”the director said in a statement.
Love Hostel marked the second collaboration between Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films after 2020 in the critically acclaimed drama ‘Qayamat’ starring Sanjay Mishra.
