Samsung is bringing new A series phones in America. The company announced its new A52 and A72 globally last month, but it turns out that the A Series has more than a ton of devices, and many of them will be available in the states.

Unfortunately, the highest-end device, the A72, will not be available in the US – although given the existence of the Galaxy S20 FE, and regular discounts, it may not be such a big deal. With the absence of the A72, however, there are five A Series devices to launch in the US

Here’s a rundown of Samsung’s new A Series phones in the US

Samsung galaxy a52 5g

The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G is one of the highest rated devices in the US. The device aims to offer some premium features at a slightly lower price, and to that end, there is actually a lot more to be done for it, especially the $ 500 price tag.

Unlike other A series devices on this list, the A52 has a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera, which serves as the only hurdle for its 6.5-inch 1080p display. Talking about the display, it has a refresh rate of 120Hz, which means that you will get the same display experience as the Galaxy S21.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A52 offers a Snapdragon 750G coupled with 6GB of RAM. The Qualcomm 7 Series has proved itself as a solid performer for the midrange phones over the past year. You’ll also get 128GB of storage, although there is a microSD card slot for those who want to expand on that storage.

On the back of the device, you’ll find an impressive quad camera array, with a 64-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, a 12-megapixel ultravide camera, a 5-megapixel macro camera, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. It is a bit unfortunate that there is no telephoto camera here – it seems that Samsung is limiting itself to higher phones. On the front side, there is a 13-megapixel camera. Powering it is a 4,500mAh battery, and the device runs on Android 11.

Generally, the A52 seems to have a relatively sleek and stylish design. It looks like a more sophisticated take on the Galaxy S20 series, with a defined camera module that still matches, and is blended into the rest of the phone.

Samsung galaxy a42 5g

The Samsung Galaxy A42 may not be as premium as the Galaxy A52, but it still offers similar performance for a lower price. You will get the same Snapdragon 750G processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, though again it has a microSD card slot.

Samsung has downgraded some features to achieve a lower price. In particular, the 6.6-inch display has a 720p resolution with a 60 Hz refresh rate, so a similar premium display experience is not expected. The display also has a small notch instead of a cutout.

The Galaxy A42’s camera has three sensors instead of four, although it should still provide a decent experience. You will get a 48-megapixel main camera with an 8-megapixel ultraviolet camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone comes with Android 11.

So how much will all this cost? The Galaxy A42 comes at $ 400, which is $ 100 less than the Galaxy A52. It is available from both Verizon and Samsung.

Samsung galaxy a32 5g

The Galaxy A32 is a step down in performance, but it retains some of the high-end features on offer by other devices. Under the hood, the phone has a MediaTek Dimension 720 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and has a microSD card slot for storage.

The display sits at 6.5 inches with 720p resolution. Interestingly, it also has a 90Hz refresh rate, and is not comparable to the 120Hz refresh rate on the Galaxy A52, yet it should make for a very smooth and responsive experience.

On the back of the Galaxy A32, there is a quad camera with 48-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, 5-megapixel macro camera and 2-megapixel depth camera. Like the higher-end Galaxy A42, it has a 5,000mAh battery, which should use at least one day of moderate use. The phone comes with Android 11.

The Galaxy A32 comes in at $ 280, which seems like a very big price for a phone with this feature set. It will be available from T-Mobile, T-Mobile by Metro and Cricket Wireless starting on 9 April.

Samsung galaxy a12

The Galaxy A12 seems like a solid price pick, but it definitely starts going into the lower end of the phone. The device is powered by a MediaTek P35 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM, which should be able to handle most basic tasks, but may not be the powerhouse that some want. You will also get 32 GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

The display on the Galaxy A12 comes in at 6.5 inches, and has a 720p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. On the back of the device, you will find a quad camera with a 16-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. On the front side, there is an 8-megapixel camera. Unfortunately, the phone ships with Android 10 instead of Android 11.

The Galaxy A12 may not offer as much as high-end A series devices, but it also comes at a pretty stellar price. The device is available from AT&T, T-Mobile, T-Mobile by Metro and Cricket Wireless for only $ 180.

Samsung galaxy a02s

The Samsung Galaxy A02s is at the lowest end of the new A Series phones, and is designed for those who want a solid phone at the least price. To that end, the phone is available for only $ 110, although it will not be available until April 29.

The Galaxy A02S comes with a Snapdragon 450 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and again, it has a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Powering it, like some other new devices, is a 5,000mAh battery. Like the Galaxy A12, you will get Android 10 here.

At the rear, there is the triple camera system, which consists of a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth camera. At the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

The Galaxy A02S will be available from Verizon and Samsung from April 29 for $ 110.
