Rohit Shetty to make digital debut with action thriller

The action-packed films are Rohit Shetty’s forte and the director is all set to make his digital debut with a web series which will be set at the same venue.

The 47-year-old director, the son of veteran stuntman-actor MB Shetty, is known for action and comedies such as the Singham series, Simba and action films like Golmaal, All the Best: Fun Begins and Chennai Express.

Rohit Shetty made his TV debut as a host in the popular action-adventure show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2014.

“Rohit will be the producer and listener of a police action-thriller series consisting of about eight episodes. It is inspired by true events, ”a source close to the film’s team told PTI.

The series of yet-to-be-released series will go on floors this year after Shetty wrapped up Shetty following the director’s reunion with his Simmba actor Ranveer Singh.

Based on William Shakespeare’s classic drama The Comedy of Errors, Sirkus revolves around two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth.

The film will be presented by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series in association with Reliance Entertainment. Producers are set to release the film in the winter of 2021.

Rohit Shetty is looking forward to the release of his much awaited police action feature Sooryavanshi alongside Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. The film, which was scheduled for a 2020 release, has been delayed due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Soyamvanshi is the fourth film in the filmmaker’s police universe. The film will feature Ajay Devgan Singham and Singh as Simmba.
