Chloe Zhao, who competed in the top categories at the 93rd Academy Awards, winning Best Picture and Best Director, is now focusing on her next project, Marvel’s Eternals. After making history with his win, he is all set to release his big budget project later this year.
Eternals is a multi-starrer, which traces the Titanic alien immortal, which has stood in opposition to deities such as Thanos (at least the comics) for millions of years. The film is written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo, with names such as Star Madden, Gema Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyr Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHog, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Angelina Jolie and Kit Harrington. .
The film has a reunion to save Earth from the gods and goddesses.
Speaking to Variety, the Oscar-winning filmmaker recently explained his experience directing an MCU film. He said, “It’s just such an incredible experience working with the team at Marvel. I want to be careful saying ‘my vision’, even though I want people to know that they did what I wanted to do. I want people to know this. But I also want to make sure that they know that I have the support of this incredibly talented team, which is some of the most talented artists in the world. And this is actually a village to make this film, but they let me lead. “
Zhao also opened up about working with such a large cast and crew, which would have been a new experience for an indie filmmaker like him, used to a much younger staff.
“Props to Marvel – Quickly, they knew how I wanted to shoot the way I wanted to make this film. It couldn’t be hundreds of people standing around. So they were very much adapted to how to run the set. What I wanted to work on. I’m still surrounded by 25 people. They only have armies, and each of them knew they needed to keep the army away, “said Zhao.
Eternal release on 5 November.
