Oneplus With the arrival of the 8T today, its twice-yearly smartphone cycle continues. The latest device is not a huge upgrade on April’s OnePlus 8, but the company’s long-standing tradition of offering some of the most solid Android handsets at a reasonable price point. Costs have increased slightly in recent years, but $ 749 for the 8T offering is still great.
The major updates this time are the 120Hz refresh rate for its 6.55-inch display. And super-fast charging via charge-charge 65. A 4,450 mAh battery should be available for a full day’s charge in 15 minutes, with a full charge taking a little less than 40 minutes.
There is an abundance of cameras – four in total. Including a 48-megapixel main (built in optical image stabilization), a 16-megapixel ultra-wide angle and, more surprisingly, a macro and monochrome lens. The handset connects to the even more affordable Nord, which is set to arrive in the US at a sub-$ 500 price point in the near future.
OnePlus has been undergoing some corporate changes in recent weeks. Co-founder Karl Pei Recently announced that he would leave the company. ClearTips said, “In these past years, OnePlus has been my single focus, and everything else has backfired.” He wrote, “I am eager to take some time with my family and friends. “And then follow my heart on what’s next.”
