Norm Macdonald Remembered as Hollywood Pays Tribute to a Comedy Icon

Famous friends of Norm Macdonald are banding together to pay tribute to the late comedian in the wake of his shocking death. McDonald was secretly battling cancer for nearly a decade. He eventually lost that fight on Tuesday when it was announced that saturday night live Favorite died at the age of 61.

Several Hollywood stars and fellow comedians are now paying tribute to Norm Macdonald on social media. This includes Artie Lange, who co-starred in the 1998 comedy Dirty Work with McDonald. Posting a picture of herself with Norm, Artie said, “I will miss you forever!”

“I’m completely devastated Norm MacdonaldConan O’Brien, who had Norm as a guest on his talk show on several memorable occasions. “Norm had the most unique comedic voice ever and was so relentless and irresistibly funny. I’ll never laugh so loudly again. I’m so sad for all of us today.”

Seth Rogen tweeted, “Oh f**k. I was a huge fan of Norm MacDonald and I essentially broke his delivery when I first started acting. I especially love watching him on talk shows. He was the funniest guest of all time. We lost a comedy legend today. One of the all-time greats. RIP.”

Jim Carrey tweeted, “My dear friend Norm MacDonald passes away after 10 years of bravery. He was one of our most precious gems. An honest and courageous comedy genius. I love him.”

“Nooo goddammit,” says Patton Oswalt. “Oh my god, what’s up. Goodbye, Norm. You were never 100% hilarious.”

Referring to the Legendary Bit of McDonald’s Bob Saget’s Comedy Central Roast, comedian Brian Potion told this story: “One of the hardest times I’ve ever had during the Bob Saget roast as @normmacdonald ate it on purpose, gleefully noting that the live audience isn’t buying Meanwhile, the other comics and I were in tears and awe of one of the funniest humans ever.”
