Naagin 5 to go off air

Colors’ weekend series Naagin 5 is going to be ready soon. And a spin-off drama will mostly replace the show by the end of February. Started in August last year, Naagin 5 stars Sharad Malhotra, Surabhi Chandna and Mohit Sehgal in the lead roles.

A source shared with Indianexpress.com said that the supernatural series was always set to be a finite one. However, seeing that it could not increase the expected number, the manufacturers decided to bring it to a logical end rather than unnecessarily dragging the plot. The creative team is currently working on the new series, which is scheduled to be around the vampire.

“The new show will also be set in a supernatural world and will be different from the Naagin drama. The producers want it to be their biggest show in the genre and are pulling all the ropes to make a great story. The casting process will begin soon, and the show will go on floors till next month, ”the source said.

Creative producer Mukta Dhond told us that while he does not have a confirmed date, Vikas is right. She also revealed that she is currently working on a new script with her team.

Ekta Kapoor-produced Naagin is one of the most successful fiction franchise on television. While Mouni Roy and Adya Khan starred in the titular roles in the first two seasons, the following season featured Surbhi Jyoti, Anita Hasanandani, Nia Sharma, Jasmine Bhasin, Karishma Tanna and Hina Khan as the shaping snake women. On the other hand, actors like Arjun Bijlani, Karanvir Bohra, Pearl V Puri and Vijayendra Kumeria have played the protagonist through its multiple seasons.
