Writer-director Puneet Krishna, known for his popular crime drama Mirzapur, is teaming up with Netflix to create two series, a dark comedy and a drama.
The show is expected to debut early next year. Talking about her engagement with the streamer, Krishna said, “My engagement with Netflix is in line with my vision for the development of my body as a narrator and as I envisioned to be.”
Krishna said that the streamer had created a vibrant story culture for writers.
He said, ‘I admire his understanding of innovation which offers immense possibilities for creative talent like me to grow and develop. I am grateful to the audience who have liked my previous work and I hope that I can continue to entertain them while beginning this new chapter.
When out for a comment, Monica Shergill, VP, content, Netflix India called Krishna one of the finest storytellers in the country.

Krishna made her debut as a co-writer of the critically acclaimed satire Bangistan produced by Excel Entertainment.
He was a part of the room of writers of Inside Prime, the first Indian original of Amazon Prime, but his most famous work is Mirzapur, produced by Excel Entertainment for Amazon Prime. He worked on the show with Karan Anshuman and Vineet Krishna as one of the creators.
