Milton Glaser, “I Heart NY” Creator and New York Magazine Co-Founder, Dies at 91
New York City has lost a legend.
Milton glaeser Has passed new York Times Confirmed on Saturday morning. The publication reported Glaeser died on his 91st birthday, which he celebrated in Manhattan on Friday.
Icon’s wife from New York City, Shirley, Told the outlet that the cause of his death was due to a stroke and kidney failure.
Many know Glaeser as the creator of the iconic “I Heart New York” design. You know, famous logos that are T-shirts, keychains, shot glasses and other souvenirs that you buy when visiting the city.
Along with creating legendary designs, he is also the mastermind behind 1967. Bob Dylan Poster, featuring the singer’s silhouette with psychedelic hair. Additionally, Glaeser co-founded New York Magazine, and was design director for nine years.
