Film and television producers met Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday and offered full support for measures to control the increase in recent COVID-19 cases in the state.

Thackeray, while interacting online with Hindi and Marathi film and TV producers, sought suggestions and cooperation, a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said.

On Saturday, CM interacted with drama makers, multiplex and single screen owners as well as gym owners to explore their views on the spike in COVID-19 cases.

The chairman of the Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India, Nitin Datar, told PTI that he had suggested that the government may talk to single screen owners, whose assets are closed due to the epidemic and various other reasons, to see if they want Whether they can be used as COVID care centers.
