Actor Madhavan shared on Monday that he and former scientist Nambi Narayanan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi a few weeks ago and discussed his upcoming directorial debut, Rocketree: The Nambi Effect. Madhavan shared some of his pictures on Twitter with PM and Nambi Narayanan, whose life inspired rocketry.

Madhavan wrote that he showed the PM clip from the film, and touched on his reaction to the visuals and his concern for “wrongdoing” for Narayanan.

“A few weeks ago, @numbionofficialland I had the honor of calling PM @narendramodi. We spoke on the upcoming film #Rocketrythefilm and were touched and honored by the PM’s reaction to the clip and the concern and concern for Nambi Ji and the wrongdoings done towards him. Thanks to Madhav sir.

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former rocket scientist from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Head of ISRO’s cryogenics department, he was falsely accused of espionage and was arrested in 1994.

The film’s trailer, released last week, stars Nambi Narayanan as an ‘arrogant genius’ who wants to put India on the map when it comes to the commercial satellite market. The trailer shows how his patriotism became his downfall and he was arrested for selling plans for India’s space program overseas.

Rocket: The Nambi Effect has been shot simultaneously in Tamil, Hindi and English. It will also be released in Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. While Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan presents himself as a guest in the Hindi and English versions, Suriya will appear as himself in the Tamil section.
