Apart from Kunal, several celebrities have tested positive for coronovirus in the past few weeks. Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Alia Bhatt were among those who shared the news of being in quarantine on social media platforms.
India is facing the second wave of epidemic. According to data released by the Union Ministry of Health on Tuesday, the daily growth of new coronovirus infections in India was above 90,000 for the third consecutive day, reaching 1,26,86,049 nationwide COVID-19 cases.
A total of 96,982 cases have been reported in a 24-hour period, while the death toll has risen to 1,65,547 with 446 daily new deaths, shown at 8 am.
Officials said the Delhi government imposed curfew in the national capital on Tuesday from 10 am to 5 am in the wake of more than 30 COVID-19 cases.
