Actor Kishwar Merchant has reacted to the trolls who attacked him saying that Kangana Ranaut was not wearing a mask in Mumbai on Monday. Kishwar, who is currently expecting her first child with husband Suyyash Rai, took to her Instagram stories and posted a video message where she slapped Kangana fans.
Kishwar had not masked Kangana recently while the latter was seen at the Mumbai airport. Kishwar wrote, “This woman is never in the mask?” Kishwar left another comment on Monday when Kangana was photographed outside a dubbing studio. He wrote, “She is never in a mask … never even in her hand?” How?”
Kishwar received mixed reactions to his observation. While some supported her, others, mainly Kangana fans, attacked her on social media.
The video that Kishwar posted revealed how Kangana’s followers, instead of noting that her favorite star never landed the mask, told her that she should win four national awards first and then point fingers needed.
“I questioned Kangana why she did not wear a mask. Soon, his fans started messaging me and said that he had won four national awards. I should win at least one award. Friends, the point here is not whether he is a good actor or not. Everyone knows that he is a brilliant actor and all the awards he has won but where is his mask? “Kishwar said in a part of the video.
With the upsurge in COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, Kishwer, along with several other celebs, urged paparazzi not to click on stars if they are not wearing masks in public places, as this would not be a good example. Out of 103,558 cases reported in India on Sunday, more than 57,700 infections came from Maharashtra. The state government has issued a slew of new restrictions including night curfew, weekend lockdown and daytime prohibition to control the spread of the disease.
