Kevin Feige taps Rick and Morty writer for his Star Wars movie

We know very little about Kevin Feige’s upcoming Star Wars film, except that it is in good hands. Deadline reports Michael Waldron has been tapped to pen the script.

Waldron’s freshness by helming the incoming Disney Plus Loki Series As producer, lead writer and executive producer. Marvel and Disney are clearly fans of his work: he wrote the Doctor Strange sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Another project that we cannot see yet. It comes out on 25 March 2022.

But we have seen Rick and morty, Joe Waldron produced several episodes before choosing a keyboard to tap the season 4 episodes The Old Man and the Seat. This is a place where Alien interns Glotti and Jerry have developed a dating app, named “LoveFitnessz.”

On top of bringing those sci-fi chops to the Star Wars universe, Waldron is expected to return to Loki for season 2, although it is unclear whether he will have the same wide involvement.

News about Feige’s Star Wars film is hard to come by. We have heard very little because it was rumored to work in the fall of 2019. Titled Disney Investor Day, Lucasfilm announced Patty Jenkins will direct Rogue Squadron, But there was no mention of the Feige project.

Disney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
