Famous horror mangaka Junji Ito confirmed that he is in talks with video game designer Hideo Kojima on a new horror project.
Ito was lined up to contribute to the cancellation silent Hills, Which would have seen a collaboration between Kojima and director Guillermo del Toro. Short but awesome teaser for the game, P.T.Shows what could have happened for the dependent project.
Ito and Kojima appear to have not cut ties. The manga artist said in an interview at Comic-Con 2020 that he was not currently involved in a video game, but he has been in contact with Kojima.
“I know director Kojima and we’re in conversation that he might have a horror-based game he’s doing, and so he’s invited me to work on it, but no details on it yet. No, “Ito said. ComicBook reported, through a translator.
While there was no definitive confirmation with Ito’s answer, horror video game fans would be happy to learn that there was still a chance for a partnership between Ito and Kojima.
Kojima is returning due to fear?
Kojima previously expressed interest in working on a horror video game, and it remains to be seen if this is the project Ito referenced in the interview. However, Kojima’s recent tweets indicated that the designer is developing another entry Death trap Universe.
Meanwhile, rumors have been denied on whether or not new. Silent Hill Games were in the works. Reports claim that a reboot of the series is in development, while Kojima Productions is reviving silent Hills. However, Konami denied that such projects exist.
