Jim Carrey to play US presidential nominee Joe Biden in Saturday Night Live

Actor Jim Carrey will essay the role of former US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden for the 2020 election in a Saturday Night Live special.
The long-running NBC variety and sketch comedy TV series will return for its season 46 in October to hang out in the 2020 presidential election.
Woody Harrelson, John Mulne and Jason Sudeikis portrayed Joe Biden last season.
In addition to Jim Carrey, Alec Baldwin and Maya Rudolph will reprise their roles as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, respectively. It will be interesting to see what SNL writers do for these notable talents.
On the work front, Carrie was last seen in Sonic the Hedgehog by bad guy Dr. Robotnik was seen playing the character, which is based on the video-game franchise of the same name. From 2018 to 2020, he starred in Kidding, a showtime comedy-drama.
Prior to this, Robert De Niro played the role of Robert Mueller in several episodes of SNL, and Brad Pitt was featured on the show earlier this year with Dr. Essay on Fauci.
Production of SNL was also stalled due to coronovirus. It returned as April Night after being shot on Saturday Night Live at Home. Studio 8H will air in the 46th season from SNL’s regular home.
