Jemima Goldsmith collaborates with Shabana Azmi and Sajal Ali, calls them ‘screen legends’

Film and TV producer Jemima Goldsmith has shared her excitement in working with What’s Love Got To Do With It in “South Asian Screen Legends” with Shabana Azmi and Sajal Ali. The film is a British romantic comedy and is being directed by Shekhar Kapoor.

What Love Got to Do It It also stars Lily James, Emma Thompson, Shazad Latif, Rob Brydon and Aseem Chaudhary.

Jemima, who wrote and co-produced the film, shared two pictures on her Twitter handle with Sajal and Shabana and wrote, “I have to work with these South Asian screen giants Shabana Azmi and Sajal Ali … @Iamsalali @ AzmiShabana. “

What Love Got to Do with It is Jemima’s first writing project. She has recently produced Ryan Murphy’s American Crime Story Season 3 and HBO’s documentary series The Case Against Adnan Syed.

What Love Got to Do with Love and Marriage is expected to be a cross-cultural romantic comedy and is set in the UK and South Asia.

What Love Got to Do with It features Shekhar Kapur’s return to directing since 2007’s Elizabeth: The Golden Age, starring Kate Rinchett. Kapoor was involved in the 2008 anthology New York, I Love You.
