English actors and brothers James and Oliver Phelps played the naughty twins Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films. Now, the brothers have revealed that they did not know which twins they were supposed to arrive as until minutes before the table read for the first film – Harry Potter and the Philosophers’ Stone. While James played the role of Fred, Oliver portrayed George.
The brothers revealed the tidbit to their co-star in the franchise Evanna Lynch on their podcast Normal Normal. The theme of the episode was Lynch’s upcoming memoir. Lynch played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films. “We’re talking five minutes before we start, we still had no idea who Fred was and who George was,” Oliver said on the latest podcast episode. The actor said that when he questioned the casting director about the same, he felt that he was joking.
Oliver said, “Now we always think that they just … ‘Oh, you didn’t get the memo about the huge meeting that took place with 50 people on the call in Burbank. But fearlessly, it’s probably Chris, David or J.K. Rowling had said … ‘James is Fred.’
Published by Headline Books, Lynch’s memoir struggles with her eating disorder, recovery, and commitment to her dreams. “In a way, this book is a memoir about my struggle with an eating disorder. However, this is not really a book about thinness and eating; This is about rebuilding yourself, literally recovering yourself, ”she wrote on Instagram announcing her recent memoir.
