Singer Jan Kumar Sanu was evicted from Bigg Boss 14’s house on Sunday. Other nominated contestants were Rubina Dilac, Jasmine Bhasin, Ejaz Khan, Nikki Tamboli and Kavita Kaushik.

The youngest son of veteran playback singer Kumar Sanu, Jaan’s real name is Jayesh Bhattacharya. She was the first contestant in Bigg Boss history to be introduced before the premiere night. The youngest contestant in Bigg Boss house, Jan’s journey was nothing short of a roller coaster ride.

When he started out as a Dalit, he grew stronger by strength due to his friendship with Nikki Tamboli. While the singer was attracted to her, Nikki locked her in as a friend, and even dragged her feet, saying that he was her “brother Jan”. Over the past few weeks, however, the two split up after Nikki accuses him of kissing her without her consent.

It was not just Nikki Tamboli, but Jan Kumar Sanu did not manage to maintain her other relationships on the show. While he considered Ejaz Khan and Nishant Singh Malkani to be his elder brothers, they both had differences with him. Nishant, in an interview with indianexpress.com, even said that he would never want to meet Jan as there is no scope to revive the friendship. The singer was also at the end of Rahul Vaidya’s remarks of nepotism.

The 26-year-old man found himself in a brawl over his words which was demoted by a section of Marathi people. As Rahul and Nikki speak in Marathi, after a fight with Jaan, he asks them not to speak in the language because it is annoying. Following major backlash on social media, Colors and Jan Kumar Sanu publicly apologized for hurting the sentiments.

Before entering the show, a fan of Siddharth Shukla himself, Jan Kumar Sanu, was confident about his game plan. Jaan had also shared that he would take the opportunity to make a name for himself, besides being the son of Kumar Sanu. “Bigg Boss is seen by millions, and it will be a great opportunity for him. Yes, I am the son of Kumar Sanu, but I have my own identity and personality. I am so much more than just being their son. I want the audience to love me for who I am.

Sunday’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode also saw the presence of Ekta Kapoor, who not only played some fun games with the contestants, but also gave Rubina Dilaik a “Mani”.
