Honda 'TrailSport' name trademarked, likely previewing more rugged SUVs

Much more rugged comes our way.

Let’s be honest: “rugged” is not the first word they hear when “Honda”. But consumers these days are all about cases of trucks and SUVs and branding. Honda seems to be ready to launch something for the connection following a trademark application of the name “TrailSport”.

Carbuzz first saw the trademark application on Wednesday, although Honda filed for the rights to the US Patent and Trademark Office in March. This is your typical filing, noting Honda wants to use the name on “land vehicles”, but it provides more clues for SUVs and trucks, well, the document has a clear vocabulary. According to the application, the name would be “sports utility vehicles, automobiles, trucks and structural parts for the foregoing” grace.

Honda quietly began an effort to position its utility vehicles as more rugged machines with the latest Passport SUV midsize, refreshed after 2022 Ridgeline Pickup. A TrailSport variant will likely first appear on some sort of rugged The pilot Before it betrays other SUVs. Nevertheless, I have a hard time even polite imaging CR-V With rude appeals of any kind. But, if Toyota can do it with a RAV4 TRD Off-Road Trim, Honda can certainly make its own spin on the formula as well.
