PlayStation samurai adventureis getting a director’s cut on Aug. 20, developer Sucker Punch revealed Thursday. It’ll come to and PS4 and send hero Jin Sakai on a new adventure to the neighboring island of Iki.
“In this new story, Jin travels to the island to investigate rumors of a Mongol presence,” the developer said in a blog post. “But soon, he finds himself caught up in events with deeply personal stakes that will force him to relive some traumatic moments from his past.”
The PS5 version will also add Japanese lip sync; DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features: quicker load times; 4K resolution options; and frame rates targeting 60 frames per second.
Upgrading from the original PS4 version to Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PS5 will cost $30, jumping from the original to Director’s Cut on PS4 will be $20, and going from Director’s Cut PS4 to PS5 will set you back $10.
