The latest collection of out-of-home outwear brand Canada Goose has been designed by Chinese designer Angel Chen. The brand, known for epic past collaborations, is joined by Chen as their first guest designer.
Chen, who joined the prestigious Central Saint Martins in London and has been shortlisted for the International Woolmark Prize, debuted his Spring / Summer 2021 runway collection in October last year, presenting a version of Canada’s iconic Goose Peace. Done. Next in fashion Alum’s runway collection has color and volume that transforms into dramatically altered Canadian fart pieces.
“This collection represents the transition from winter in Canada to spring in China,” says Chen, who incorporated her version of functional outerwear over tulle ball skirts in her finale look on the runway. The 13-piece collection is designed for men and women, with mix-and-match layers to compliment the weather conditions.
Styled by contrast, unlike anything we’ve ever seen in an outset before, with corset belts and a fashion forward volume, the chain has re-added clothing as sculptural and convertible pieces. Snow mantra parks for men and women can be worn in a variety of ways, including completely upside down or zip-off elements. Despite the high-fashion presence, the collection does not include the functionality of Canada Goose.
