“The Chainsaw Awards are an institution of horror that has been present in the magazine since 1992. Bringing them back as an actual event has been a dream, and airing them on The Shudder is something we’ve been working on since the magazine’s revival Huh.” Fungoria editor Phil Nobel Jr. said.

Since 1992, the Chance Awards have honored top achievements in the horror genre, with past recipients including Jonathan Demay, Sam Raimi, Robert Eggers, Tony Collett and George Romero. The awards are produced by Tara Ansley, Abhi Goyal, Phil Nobel Jr. and produced by Armaan Aghian and Rebekah McKendy.
