After the cancellation of the flagship gaming event E3 2020, companies were to find alternative ways to show their latest titles. Ubisoft brought out an idea for its digital showcase called Ubisoft Forward, an online-only event.

Ubisoft has also been dealing with sexual harassment allegations. On June 26, Ubisoft announced that it had hired external consultants to investigate claims of inconsistency, and creative director Ashraf Ismail stepped in, and other employees were placed on leave after several allegations surfaced.

Ubisoft said on July 7 that anyone who watches Ubisoft Forward Live will get a free copy of the PC game Watch dogs 2. The company has also promised free prizes to all those who answer some of their general knowledge questions during the livestream. To qualify for free, players must log into their UPL accounts during the broadcast.
