Elon Musk Says Neuralink Chip Will Stream Music Into Your Brain

Neuralink, the brain interface company of Tesla CEO Elon Musk, wants to let you stream music directly to your brain.

Musk recently said that Neuralink’s brain chip technology will allow people to effortlessly flow music into the brain. Musk confirmed the feature on an exchange with a Twitter user on July 19, who asked: “If we implement Neurallink – can we listen to music directly from our chips? Great feature.” He replied, “Yes.”

Musk is giving other hints about the technology that can be implemented in a neurlink chip. He responded to another Twitter user that the neurlink chip would be able to prevent rapid firing in neural networks for patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder.

He has also confirmed that the chip will be able to control hormone levels, which among other things will have the potential to help with anxiety relief.

Musk’s ambitious goal for Neuralink is to help treat brain disorders, preserve and grow the human brain, and eventually merge humans with artificial intelligence. According to Musk, those braves will have to undergo the same procedure as Lasik laser eye surgery to voluntarily obtain a chip in their brain.

According to a July 9 tweet from Musk, the company hasn’t said much about its official plans and progress since last summer, but there will be a progress update on Friday, August 28.

Neuralink is actively adding more brains to its operation, so to speak. Musk tweeted and called on people to apply for the company if they “solved difficult problems with phones / wearables (sealing, signal processing, inductive charging, power management, etc.).”
