Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson says that if he ever gets elected as the President of the United States, it will be an honor for him to serve the people of the country. Johnson’s remarks came in response to a poll stating that nearly half of Americans would be eager to see him bid for the presidency.
In a post on Instagram, the WWE wrestler-actor shared an article featuring the bid: “At least 46 percent of Americans will support Dwayne the Rock Johnson for the presidency.”
“Polite.” I don’t think our founding fathers ever imagined a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-black, half-Samoa, tequila drinker, truck driving, fanny pack clad person joining his club Are, but if this happens, it will never happen. Johnson has written that I have the honor to serve you, the people.
Polls, from the market cube platform Pipple, asked 30,138 people for their opinions on whom they would like to see as president. Johnson is a future contender to the White House with the vote.
This is not the first time the actor has expressed a desire to run for the president’s chair.
In 2017, Johnson said he was “seriously considering” a presidential bid. A few months ago, during a press event for the NBC sitcom Young Rock, the action star said he would “consider running a president in the future if he wanted people to.”
On the work front, Johnson has recently started shooting for New Line / DC’s Black Adam film.
