Here’s what the # Shoplocal winter wardrobe inspection has been.
Just because the holidays are over, it does not mean that the pace of # shoplocal should end. From Lydia Okello in L’Intervalle to Donté Colley in 4ye, here are some of the friendly faces we’ve seen sporting social Canadian brands on social media this week and cashed in for a casual chick.
Donté coli in 4ye
Internet lover and poser of positivity Donte Collie recently took us on an intimate night walk through Toronto, and he took a look at some of the city’s landmarks, while an eye-catching slogan from Brampton-based streetwear brand 4ye Was wearing a scarf. Accessory’s message – “4ye for the community” – is especially what we are all experiencing given our current COVID status and loneliness and distance.
Lydia Okello at L’Intervalle
Putting a “win” at Winter Like, writer and model Lydia Okalo wore bold shoes with a certain downtime outfit, a thick-knit sweater, puffers and vibrant tauks from Montreal footwear label L’Intervalle. And we can’t agree more with the closing line of his post: “Also, reminding myself that a fat body in casual clothes is ~ off-duty chic ~ as a thin supermodel wearing the same thing. “
Mosha Lundstrom Halbert in Jenny Bird and Therma Krita
Mosha Lundstrom Hulbert – fashion editor and co-founder of the outdoor brand, Therma Kota – not only gave us the dominant ice queen energy wearing a style from her label’s collection. She was also wearing a chunky chain necklace from Toronto-based accessory chain Jenny Bird, which proves that it is actually more when it comes to Canadian design.
