Bollywood director Prem Soni, best known for films such as Shrimati Khanna and Ishq, the main cast in Paris, said on Saturday that he has tested positive for coronovirus and is currently home quarantined.
The director confirmed his COVID-19 diagnosis from indianexpress.com. “Yes, I have tested positive and I have isolated myself at home. Taking all precautions as necessary and being as responsible as possible to prevent it from spreading, ”said Soni.
On the work front, the director is set to make his comeback to films after a gap of eight years. Sony’s next is Laila Majnu, produced by choreographer-filmmaker Remo D’Souza and his wife Liezel. Laila Majnu played the important roles of Iulia Vantur and Shashank Vyas. Recently, Prem Soni took to Instagram to thank Remo for coming on board for the film.
“Extremely grateful and very happy @remodsouza sir and dear @lizelleremodsouza to be a part of our film @lailamanju and come on board as producer. I am very lucky to be like a wonderful human being to support him and be a part of this story.
“A big shout out to my producer partners @amittbasnet @idineshgupta and a special person to my creative producer and a dear friend @svetlanasharma for believing in this story and nurturing this dream and last but not least my brother The biggest support is not @avesthestar, ”Prem Soni wrote a few days ago.
Soni was diagnosed with gallbladder cancer in 2012 but recovered after a year of fighting.
