Bollywood actor Dia Mirza tied the knot with businessman Vaibhav Rekha in a close ceremony in Mumbai on 15 February. As the actor shared photos of his wedding ceremony, he was bathed with blessings and wishes, but was quick to tell many of his followers that the actor’s Hindu wedding rituals were being performed by the priest.
The slapped actor took to Twitter on Wednesday and thanked the female priest Sheela Atta for organizing the holy ceremony. Diya shared, “Thank you Sheila Atta for organizing our wedding ceremony. So proud that we can #RiseUp #GenerationEquality ”together.

Traditionally, Hindu marriage ceremonies are usually performed by male priests.
Diya’s wedding was attended by actors like Aditi Rao Hydari and Jackie Bhagnani. Sharing this moment of fulfillment and happiness with you..my extended family. All puzzles can find their missing pieces, heal all hearts and the miracle of love will continue to unfold around you to us #ThankYouPreeta #SunsetKeDiVaNe. “
It was previously reported that Dia and Vaibhav met during the lockdown and their relationship was kept under wraps.
