Data startup Axiom secures $4M from Crane Venture Partners, emerges from stealth – TipsClear

Axiom, a startup that helps companies deal with their internal data, has secured a new $ 4m seed round led by UK-based Crane Venture Partners with partnerships from LocalGlobe, Fly VC and Mango Capital. Notable angel investors include former Zamarin founder and current GitHub CEO Nat Friedman and Haroku co-founder Adam Wiggins. The company has also emerged from a relative stealth mode that has now raised $ 7m in funding since its founding in 2017.

The company says it is launching machine data “at any level, with enterprise-grade solutions to manage and analyze any type of infrastructure.” Axiom has given DevOps teams a cloud-native, enterprise-grade solution to store and query their data without the overhead of storing data and maintaining the data infrastructure.

DevOps teams spend a large portion of time and money managing their infrastructure, but often without being able to own and analyze their machine data. Despite all the means, managing and analyzing critical data is difficult, slow, and resource-intensive, for organizations to take too much money and time. Axiom is addressing with its platform to manage machine data and surface insights, and more cheaply, they say, other solutions.

Co-founder and CEO Neil Jagdish Patel told TipsClear: “DevOps teams are under pressure because it is up to them to solve that problem. And the solutions that exist are quite complex. They are very expensive to run and time consuming. So with Axiom, our goal is to try to reduce the time to solve data problems, but allow businesses to store more data whenever they want. “

Why did they work with cranes? “We need to find out how enterprise sales work and how to take this product to market that makes sense for those who need it. We talked to different investors, but when I sat down with Crane they understood where we were. They have this razor-sharp focus on how they market you and how you ensure that your sales process and marketing is a success. It has been beneficial for us as three engineers, so you need it, ”said Jagdish.

Comment, Scott Sage, Founder and Partner at Crane Venture Partners Added: “Neil, Safe and Gord are a proven team that has created successful products that millions of developers use. We are proud to invest in Axiom, helping them build a business to help DevOps teams turn from a resource-intensive problem to logging challenges to a business advantage. “

Axiom co-founders Neil Jagdish Patel, Safe Lotfi and Gord Allot, previously made Xamarin Insights that enable developers to monitor and analyze mobile app performance in real time thanks to Xamarin, the open-source cross-platform app development framework. Xamarin was acquired by Microsoft in 2016 for between $ 400 to $ 500 million. Prior to working on Xamarin, the co-founders also worked together at Canonical, the private commercial company behind the Ubuntu project.
