It is no exaggeration to say that Chris Evans reinstated Marvel superhero Steve Rogers / Captain America as he played him in Marvel films. Considered as very ethical and self-righteous in the comics, Evans made him an attractive and inspiring figure who would not give up under any circumstances.
In an interview with Backstage, Evans has revealed that while he misses his work in films, he is currently enjoying his creative freedom. Playing the role of one of the most important characters in a multi-billion dollar film franchise, there is little time to do other stuff in nearly a dozen films. He said, “I absolutely loved my time with Marvel; I remember it already. But there is no denying that it is very exciting to have complete freedom to pursue whatever my creative hunger is. “
Evans played all four Avengers films in Captain America, including Captain America: The First Avenger, its sequel The Winter Soldier and Civil War.
Evans also spoke with Backstage about the expectations of those people when he was playing such a venerable character. He said, “It was a great hope that these people already had the idea of who this character was, and you have to respect that. Listeners are part of what they will create [these films] Work, and I have an understanding of the group they see. “
